TAP carries 240,000 more passengers in 2014Up 8% in the first 4 months
This increase occurred even before the upcoming launch of eleven new routes and an increase in the number of flights on some existing routes set to take place between 3 June and 3 July of this year. The growth was largely due to the entry into service of six new aircraft (two long-haul and four medium-haul) and replacement of the airline’s Beechcraft with new ATR aircraft with a larger passenger capacity for its PGA routes. source:flytap.com |

TAP carried 3,284,000 passengers between January and April of this year, an increase of 8% over the same period last year. All sectors in the airline’s network contributed to this growth, but particularly the United States (+17%), the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores (+14%), Africa (+10%) and Europe (+8%). The average load factor on flights during this period rose from 74.8% to 78.5%.
